I cleared the entire gauntlet side looking for him, killed rivendere for the hell of it and possible mount just to find out that the gate to the other side no longer works. Comment by 85 prot warrior with no problems at all. I can't stealth, fd or anything - just a hunk of trash metal running around dragging my knuckles with my NOT leet dps. I can see where a clothy might have a problem with Skadi but, other than that - should be pretty easy for any I didn't hit a single mob after the first boss in AN - just ran until I found the hole, fell down, got the achieve and ran out with third boss in tow.
Soloed easily at 85, found directly behind Drakari Colossus second boss. Comment by FYI - pace yourself if you plan on grinding this achievement out all at once. There comes a point where you can't go into an instance and will get the message saying: "You have entered too many instances recently. Comment by snake I'm Comment by figaw "TomTom" -addon Friendly entrances to the Dungeons! If you talk to him, you WILL start the event.
When you're at the end of it, you get to Hordemar City. Move straight forward, and you will see Stonefort the Elder. Move across the bridge and you'll be at him. She'll be standing behind 1 pack of dragons eager to grant you a coin! If you can't see the map, just turn left on the crossroads and by the right side of the pool, bam!
One has orange crystals, one has purple crystals, and there's a small one in right between them. Take the middle one to the end and the portal to get into inner Maraudon is there. This one is a little tricky, you have to slay first boss, no problem for a level 85' and you can sneak by Hadronox and jump down the hole, no problem for a mage.
Nurgen will be located to your left if you are in the water and look towards the door to the next boss. Render invisible and run by Anub'arak. You have to kill him, else the next door wont open.
Next room jump through the hole in the stairs you see the glow in front of you by the Scourge Hulk and he will in front of you in a "cellar"-ish place. Inside, 85's can easily run by most groups, and you can skip 2nd boss by wall-hugging. Elder will be by the Dino Boss, King Dred. No more in eck room. So you don't need to do it on Hc matzos - You can skip everything up to the Elder. He's standing behind the Boss, I managed to get in and out without taking aggro from a single mob, using blink and invisible twice.
Turn right up the stairs. Then take your next right by the elementals. Follow the path down past the channelers and more elementals till you see the elder.
I'm a fan of earning achievements, but I'm not a fan of running around in circles. Comment by I found that any achieve that I had not completed had reset. The Elders were gone regardless of how many I had left.
Comment by drxenocide As an 85 shadowpriest, I was able to solo Nexus mostly by sneaking around mobs. Go to the right when you enter the instance, sneak past the pats, kill a few patrols that find you, and get your Elder Igasho on your own. Comment by Pinkitteh The Elder for the Lunar festival is in the recess just to the left of the entrance when you walk in. Would have been nice if they had a sign out front saying they moved the entrance though Comment by Last year, all my uncompleted Lunar Festival achievements reset if they were not completed; honored elders did not carry over.
Anyone know if that wil happen this year? If so, there is no reason to start and finish! Comment by gleaminx Easily soloed all of these today as a Prot Paladin ilvl You can skip a ton of content hugging walls. Good luck! Comment by Avenara If you have TomTom, these are all of them. Stood on the NPC's for those coords and everything. Have a wonderful Lunar Festival. I found it fairly easy and made decently large pulls. No 85 should have any problem with this.
Comment by klesa So encountering this was challenging at lvl 85 there have been some wrong areas and some correct. I came to look for Elder Splitrock, in Maraudon. Upon looking at one of the maps it gave the incorrect map. If you haven't done the quest for the princess it will pop up.
Easiest route to the Elder is to her. Jump in the water and follow the trail up and you will be dead on, on the Elder. Hope this helps! Comment by Starwishgirl Utgarde Pinnacle is definitely recommended as a group.
However it is possible to solo. Soloed today on my lvl 85 Ret Paladin. First boss is only hard because she traps and attacks you for a period of time dropping your health but you will be let go at some point if you have enough health to live through it.
Comment by dayglowvista83 "Utgarde Pinnacle is definitely recommended as a group. You can walk right past this boss, no need to even kill it. Same with the next one. The only boss you HAVE to kill in order to get to the elder is Skadi, otherwise the gate doesn't open.
Comment by marrymagee As a level 85 arcane mage I managed to solo Skadi. I died once but finally made it -- so it is possible to solo ALL dungeon elders if equipped properly. Comment by figaw has the best and up-todate guide. Comment by wigglemonster I worked on this over the last couple of days I decided to full clear all of the dungeons and ended up netting nearly 4k gold in various drops. Definitely worth while for me. You will need some help for Skaldi.
So he is available in normal. Good to know. I take it he does nto and one can jsut waltz up to the elder by killing trash. You take the stairs after the frist boss, and he is there. You will have to kill one boss, choose the one. The elder is behind the second boss, at the top of the stairs, so there three ways to go to him.
As I said, you can pass without killing her, there is no passageway to open. With the little event that transform her, you have enough time to pass without agroing her. Comment by Koholint Quite a few mage strategies, but really lacking on strats for other classes. Hopefully my strategy will help with most classes The first pulls leading up to the first circular room were easy, using shield block and burning down the Theurgist quickly When I got to the stair case, I used my first invisibility potion and ran all the way into the caves.
Once there, I hugged the right wall, and avoided those dwarves completely, and charged into the group of rock elementals who are non elite and fell quickly. Now, heres where it got bad I had to wait 10 minutes for the potion to come off cool down.
After the long 10 minutes were up, I got as close to the next group of dwarves as possible, used the potion, and quickly ran all the way to the elder. Overall, very easy, the 10 minute wait is painful though. Using this method "Most" classes should be able to do this, although I think some of the squishier classes will definately have more trouble with the elites.
Comment by alkemist Easy as an 85 spriest. Just watch all the pats and you can avoid most of them. Unfortunately I had to drop shadow to AoE holy nova the little rock giants.
They go down easy. Mind soothe any humanoids that are too close to squeeze by just to be safe. Real easy.. Comment by Again, 85 Druid, cat form and Prowl. I did not have to kill anything took just a few to walk to the elder. Comment by Skyraven He's half way in, inside the Crystalline Quarry. Solo as a Hunter. Comment by Just soloed to the elder with an 83 fire mage. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone else. Comment by Zeldax If you don't want to kill everything, there are many ways to get to the Elder: Hunter - You can Camouflage into this dungen, you simply need to kill the shardling mobs.
Be cautious of patrols Magi - You can use invisibility, best if you are glyphed Rouge - Stealth, duh Druid - Cat Form stealth Everyone else - invisibility potion s Fast Way of Getting Out - Die, run back to the instance, get revived by entering, and leave.
Please enable JavaScript in your browser. Live PTR. Classic TBC. Quick Facts. Available on normal-mode. Comment by Tsaza Stealthable, no stealth tracking mobs in there. Comment by I Have invisibility glyph so this was pretty easy to do, I ran right though to the hall and stopped on the far right opposite first elite mob, before first mob of rock elementals, waited for cool down and then ran right though to bottom just past the elder but out of all agro range.
If you do not have invisibility glyph, then good idea is take invisibility potion, so long as you time it all right you should be able to get to the elder in two goes, one go using invisibility spell to get to the first rest spot then invisibility potion to get to elder.
Comment by Plated As an uber prot nelf warrior with 2 invisibility pots i managed to achieve this feat! Enter instance Rezone and stay on the side where you killed the mob so you won't aggro and get to the end of the mini room. Use invi pot and run to the staircase in the next room. These dwarfs patrol around and around, 1 will stop, look at you for a few secs and then go on. When shadowmeld is up again, and the dwarfs are as far away from u as possible run into next room and aggr othe 3 little elementals.
Kill them. Wait for your invi pot CD about 6min now or so. When ready pop it and run through, following the path. Complete quest and go behind elder. Hearthstone : Hope this helped. Obviously any Nelf can do it beying a bit more careful - not beying able to take damage if not a tank - Elder Plated.
Comment by nightmareic Solo cleared the first tunnel room you enter as a death knight. It's definitely possible just make sure you watch your health and use death strike with the glyph. I was able to heal myself for 7k each time while conserving RP. After the first room I got close where I wouldn't pull aggro and used an Invisibility potion. I got far enough and I only pulled the non-elites.
Watch out with your ghoul, It doesn't go invisible with you! The non-elites are easy to kill, shouldn't be a problem. Finally I waited for the invisibility potion to go up and reached the elder. Have fun! Run in and when the first pat is as far back as possible run by them into the right corner.
You will probably aggro them and the single pat there so shadowmeld in this corner. When the pat is gone and the single pat is on the other side too run towards the two Stone Guards and pop the first Invisibility Potion. You should be able to make it to the start of the Krystallus tunnel. There are only 3 of those little non-elite stone guys, which every class should be able to take down.
Next you should be able to get past the three channeling elite dwarves, just stick to the right side of the path and stop close to the next pack of none-elite stone guys. If you can take down the next non-elite group do that now.
